For a refreshing Himachal Pradesh tour, Shimla Manali 5 days tour by tempo traveller could be an interesting idea. Day 1 - Chandigarh pickup half day Chandigarh sightseeing and drive Shimla

The trip to Himachal would start by picking up from the Chandigarh station or airport. Engage the first half of the day visitng Nek Chand's Rock Garden, Sukhna Lake and Pinjore Gardens. it’s about 113 km road from Chandigarh to Shimla and takes about four hours to reach.

Overnight stay at Shimla.

Day 2 - Shimla sightseeing

The morning starts with a complimentary breakfast at the hotel. The start of the city tour would include driving down to The Mall Road. Lower Bazaar, Lakkar Bazaar, Christ church, Kufri are some of the major places to visit. You can also enjoy a pleasant walk to the Mahasu Peak which is in proximity. Return back to hotel and overnight stay at Shimla.

Day 3 - Shimla to Manali enroute visit Beas river, Kullu

The drive to Manali would start early morning. Manali is about 285 kms away and would take approximately 7 hours drive. Drive through the pine-clad mountains which converges is the Beas river. Kullu is a broad open valley which has been formed by the Beas River and to reach the other side of the valley, you have to cross the river. Reach Manali and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4 - Manali Rohtang pass day trip

After taking breakfast, get ready for the local excursion trip to Rohtang Pass where you can see the snowline of the Himalayan range. For the adventure lovers, there's plenty of scope for horse riding, Yak riding, skiing, snow scooter ride etc. One can also visit the Beas Kund and Dassur Lake which are located nearby. Come back to the hotel by evening and night stay at Manali.

Day 5 - Manali to Chandigarh drop

Check out from the hotel. The road distance from Manali to Chandigarh is about 294 km and takes nearly 5 hours to reach. Visit the government museums and galleries at Chandigarh before leaving. Respective drop at railway station or airport.
