You start your trip from Delhi to Shimla, a hill town surrounded by beautiful pine forests and the Himalayas. It takes about 7 to 8 hours to drive from Delhi to Shimla, and there are beautiful views along the way. You will pass through beautiful places and stop at dhabas to rest along the way. After checking in to your hotel, relax and take a stroll along the Mall Road, which is filled with shops and restaurants. Enjoy the cool, fresh mountain air and some views of colonial houses.
After breakfast, get ready to explore Shimla the next day. Kufri is your first stop. It is just a short distance from Shimla and is famous for its snow-capped hills and winter sports. You can go skiing, horse riding or enjoy the beautiful views in Kufri. Next, visit Christ Church, which is one of the oldest churches in Shimla and is famous for its beautiful stained glass windows. Visit Jakhu Temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman and see the view from the top of the hill. In the evening you can do whatever you want. Take a stroll on Mall Road, shop for gifts or relax in one of the cosy cafes.
On the third day, get ready for a beautiful drive from Shimla to Manali. This 7-8 hour journey will take you through small towns, mountain passes and beautiful views. You will see rivers flowing through valleys and if you are lucky, snow-capped mountains in the distance. When you reach Manali, check in to your hotel and relax. You can go for a short walk to see the busy market of Manali in the evening or relax at your hotel.
On the fourth day, you will reach the heart of Manali's tourist attractions. First, visit the Hadimba Temple, which is hidden in a forest of pine trees. This old temple is dedicated to Hadimba Devi and has a unique style of architecture. Next, visit the Manu Temple, which is dedicated to the sage Manu, who in Indian legend is believed to have created people. Spend some time at Vashisht Village, which is known for its hot springs and lovely feel. The Mall Road in Manali is a good place for a peaceful walk at the end of the day. You can shop there for woollen clothes and handmade items from the region.
Start your last day at the beautiful Solang Valley, which is just a short distance from Manali. Solang Valley is famous for its exciting snow activities and spectacular views. You can do a variety of things there, including skiing (seasonal), flying, and zorbing. Spend an exciting morning in the valley. Then, have lunch in Manali and then start your journey to Delhi. Your 5-day Shimla Manali Tour by Tempo Traveller will end when you reach Delhi late at night.
