The journey from Delhi to Shimla is quite a long one. The travel arrangements will be made from your designated place in Delhi and the drive will commence towards the hill station of Shimla. The estimated distance from Delhi to Shimla is 350 km, which will take around 7 to 8 hours by road.
While travelling through Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, expect to see vast expanses of flat land, followed by lush green hilly regions. Enjoy meals at famous tea and snack points along this journey, allowing everyone to relax a bit. The drive also reduces fatigue; especially as the weather is more pleasant closer to Shimla.
You will reach Shimla by afternoon, after which you will check in to the hotel. After resting for some time, enjoy an evening walk at the famous Mall of Shimla. The Mall Road is the most popular street in Shimla which is filled with shops, cafes and restaurants. Another place you can visit is Christ Church which is one of the historical attractions and the oldest church in North India.
Go back to your hotel for overnight rest.
Once you have a hearty breakfast, you will continue your exploration of Shimla and Kufri. Kufri is just 16 km from Shimla and is famous for its panoramic views, outdoor leisure activities and general tranquillity.
Kufri Fun World will be the start of your journey, which an amusement park is built at an elevated location that caters to those who want to enjoy various rides while watching the beautiful mountain ranges around them. The place is also known for its beautiful trekking routes, horse riding activities and skiing - which are available only during the winter months. Finally, after completing the complete tour of Kufri, it is advisable to come back to Shimla for additional sightseeing.
