Bikaner Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Delhi to Bikaner

The trip you are going on will start with a drive from Delhi to Bikaner which takes about 10 to 12 hours. Try to leave early in the morning to enjoy your day to the fullest. The day will be amazing as the borders move from the flat-roofed horizon line of Delhi to the desert state of Rajasthan with the peaks of several beautiful hills.

As soon as you reach Bikaner, check in to your hotel and relax for a while. After freshening up, explore the local area. Visit the bustling markets and buy woven clothes, artisan products, and all kinds of Rajasthani traditional attire. If you visit Bikaner, make sure to try the Bikaneri Bhujia, a crispy snack that tastes a little different from others.

In the evening, visit one of the nearby eateries and enjoy the best Rajasthani cuisine. You will then return to your hotel where you will relax for the day in preparation for a long day full of visiting several tourist attractions.

Day 2: Full-Day Sightseeing in Bikaner

After breakfast, prepare your mind to prepare yourself for a day outing in Bikaner. Start your day with a visit to Junagarh Fort, one of the finest forts in Rajasthan. Built in the sixteenth century, the fort is adorned with amazing construction and houses several palaces, temples, and museums. Make sure you have the proper fort sections such as Anup Mahal and Ganga Mahal to explore.

Then undoubtedly head to the beautifully designed Lalgarh Palace, whose design is based on Indo-Saracenic architecture. There are well-maintained gardens and decorative interiors around the palace. Visit the museum inside the palace where you will see the history of the Bikaner royal family.

At lunchtime, we recommend that you visit one of the nearby restaurants and taste the local cuisine, especially Dal Baati Churma and Gatte Ki Sabzi.

In the second half of your day, visit the famous Karni Mata Temple, also known as the Temple of Rats, located in Deshnok, 30 km from Bikaner. As the name suggests, this temple is associated with rats, which are worshipped by the visitors. Visit thousands of rats roaming around carefree in this place of complete devotion.

In the evening, come back to Bikaner and visit some local markets for shopping. Beautiful handicrafts, ethnic jewellery and painted items are available. Later, have your dinner at one of the local restaurants before returning to your hotel for the day.

Day 3: Return to Delhi

On the last day of the trip, enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Then check out and start your journey back to Delhi. During the trip, reminisce about the time spent in Bikaner and the wonderful experiences you had there.

Depending on your departure time, you may decide to make a short stopover to see the sights or buy some souvenirs. Return to Delhi in the evening, which will be the end of the wonderful Bikaner Trip.
