Start your trip early in the morning from Delhi. Shimla is the capital of Himachal Pradesh. It takes about 7 to 8 hours to reach there through beautiful landscapes. Enjoy the beautiful views and quaint cities. When you reach Shimla, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, take a stroll on the Mall Road, buy some handmade items and eat some hot snacks at the local shops.
After breakfast, head to Kufri, just 16 km from Shimla. Kufri is known for its beautiful views and lush green hills. Enjoy winters by doing things like skiing or horse riding. Visiting the Himalayan Nature Park will give you a glimpse of the many animals that live in the area. Head back to Shimla in the afternoon and explore places like Jakhu Temple and Christ Church. Return to Shimla for another night.
On the third day, you will have breakfast at your hotel and then drive to Manali. Shimla and Manali are approximately 270 km apart, and the journey takes 7 to 8 hours. Enjoy beautiful views as you pass through the Kullu Valley, which is known for its beautiful views. When you reach Manali, check in to your hotel and relax. If you have time, explore the nearby market or relax on the banks of the Beas River.
Today is your day to explore everything in Manali. The Hadimba Temple is hidden in a forest of pine trees. This is the first place you should visit. Goddess Hadimba is worshipped in this wooden temple and has a unique building style. Then, visit the Manu Temple and Vashisht Village, which is known for its hot springs. Solang Valley is a fun place to spend the afternoon as you can fly and do zorb here. Tonight, take some rest and then head back to your hotel for the night.
After breakfast, you should check out of your hotel and drive to Dharamshala, which is about 200 kilometres away. The drive takes about six to seven hours and offers beautiful mountain views. When you reach there, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, explore the neighbourhood markets and the Dalai Lama Temple. Learn about Tibetan culture and buy some gifts.
On the sixth day, you should have breakfast before leaving for Amritsar, which is 200 km from Dharamshala. It takes about 5 to 6 hours to travel by car. When you reach there, go to your hotel and clean up. After that, visit the famous Golden Temple, which is a very important place for Sikhs. You can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and help serve food to thousands of guests in the community kitchen. In the evening, go to the Wagah Border to watch the Beating Retreat performance, which is a very patriotic show.
You will start your trip to Chandigarh after breakfast at your hotel. Amritsar is 230 km from Chandigarh. It takes four to five hours to get there. After reaching there, you can see the well-planned city which is known for the modern buildings designed by Le Corbusier. You must visit Rose Garden, Rock Garden and Sukhna Lake. At night, spend some time relaxing in one of the nearby bars or restaurants.
You will have breakfast at your hotel before heading back to Delhi on the last day of your tour. The journey by car takes about 5 to 6 hours. Upon arrival, end your trip by visiting India Gate, Humayun's Tomb or Connaught Place, which are all nearby sights.
