Dharamshala Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Departure from Delhi to Dharamshala

Start your road trip from Delhi early in the morning. It can take around 10 to 12 hours depending on the traffic and road conditions. As you travel, you will see how the scenery changes from the busy streets of Delhi to the hills where there is greenery and lush greenery. When you reach Dharamshala, check in to your hotel, take a bath and spend a nice evening. You can explore the shops nearby or just relax and get ready for the fun days ahead.

Day 2: Dharamshala Sightseeing

After breakfast start your sightseeing tour of Dharamshala. The Dalai Lama Temple complex is the first stop. It is a peaceful place where the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism resides. Take some time to meditate and look around the monastery. Enjoy the calm and spiritual atmosphere.

Next, visit Bhagsu Falls, which is not far from McLeod Ganj. The waterfall is just a short walk away, and when you reach there, you will be able to see the water falling through the trees. Nearby, you can visit Bhagsunath Temple, which is an old Shiva temple and offers beautiful views.

You can find delicious Tibetan food at one of the nearby restaurants. They serve momos (dumplings) and thukpa (noodle soup).

Day 3: Trek to Triund

Today is the day to go on a trek. One of the most famous treks in Dharamshala is the Triund trek, which you can start after breakfast. It takes about 4 to 5 hours to reach the top of the hike, which is not very difficult. You will get beautiful views of the Dhauladhar range and a dense forest full of rhododendron trees on the way. When you reach the top, you will be able to see the slopes below and the snow-capped mountains in the distance.

After enjoying the view for a while, return to Dharamshala. Relax in the evening after your trip.

Day 4: Departure from Dharamshala to Delhi

On the last day of your tour, enjoy breakfast before leaving the hotel. The Norbulingka Institute is worth a visit for its well-maintained grounds and beautiful Tibetan architecture. You can also buy Tibetan goods at the local markets if you have time before heading back to Delhi.

You will drive back to Delhi and reach there in the evening, thus ending your 4-day trip to Dharamshala.
