The first part of your trip is to drive from Delhi to Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Enjoy the changing scenery as you drive, from the busy streets of Delhi to the beautiful hills. When you reach Shimla, check in to your hotel and relax. If you have time, take a stroll along Mall Road and enjoy the cool breeze and the busy life of the area.
After breakfast, you can start sightseeing in Shimla. Visit the famous "The Ridge", which is a large open area that offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. The Mall Road is lined with shops selling woollen clothes, handmade items, and gifts. Jakhu Temple is at the highest point in Shimla and offers a beautiful view of the entire city. At the end of the day, visit Christ Church. It is one of the oldest churches in North India.
Today you are travelling from Shimla to Manali by car. On the way, you will pass through beautiful hills, rivers and views. Reach Manali in the evening and check in to your hotel. Enjoy the cool mountain air and relax. You can spend the rest of the evening relaxing in your hotel or visit the local market.
After breakfast, spend the day sightseeing in Manali. First, visit the famous Hadimba Temple, which is surrounded by pine forest. This temple is for Hadimba, who was married to Bhima in the Mahabharata. The next stop is the Manu Temple, which is one of the oldest churches in Manali. After lunch, visit the Tibetan Monastery to learn about the customs and culture of Tibetan Buddhism. In the evening, take a stroll along the Mall Road. You can buy gifts, handicrafts and woollen clothes made in the region.
On the 5th day, visit Solang Valley, which is a popular destination for adventure lovers. There are many things to do here, like horse riding, paragliding, zorbing and skiing (in winter). The views of snow-capped mountains and glaciers from Solang Valley are also breathtaking. Spend the whole day enjoying the beauty of the valley and have fun.
If you are visiting Rohtang Pass in winter then you must visit. It is about 51 km from Manali and is one of the highest places you will visit on your trip. At this snowy place, you can do things like ski, snowboard and snow fight. From the Pass, you can see the mountains and rivers in their full glory. If Rohtang Pass is closed due to snow or bad weather, you can experience Kullu Valley, go rafting or do other things to do in Manali.
You can take a short drive to Kullu on the 7th day. Kullu is known for its temples, rivers and lots of beauty. The Raghunath Temple and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Great Himalayan National Park are both important places to visit. Adventure sports like swimming are also fun. You can also buy Kullu shawls and other crafts. The next day, head back to Manali for a quiet evening.
On the last day of the tour, after breakfast, you will start your journey to Delhi. The drive will take 12 to 14 hours, but the beautiful mountains and rivers on the way will make the journey even more enjoyable. Your 8-day Shimla Manali tour will end when you reach Delhi in the evening.
